Your hair is damaged, getting dry, with split ends or you are loosing your hair? Use this very simple tip to nourish them!



Massaging one's scalp with oil is a habit that is very much rooted in Indian culture. True that most south Asians enjoy very thick, shiny and healthy hair; there must be something right into this!


Massaging the scalp helps with blood circulation, which will make roots stronger, prevent hair fall and promote new hair growth.


On top, oil will help moisturize your scalp, and add shine to your hair.

Which oil can I use


There are many different oils you can choose from: virgin coconut oil, olive oil, sesame oil, almond oil, or specific hair oil.



How to oil your scalp


Warm up the oil slightly. Apply it with your fingers to your scalp and gently massage it with your fingertips.


Enjoy this moment, massaging your head is incredibly relaxing and will for sure calm your mind.


Keep the oil for at least a few hours before washing, ideally a whole day or, even better, overnight. To keep it overnight, you might use a towel that is dedicated to this, not to damage your bed sheets.


Shampoo your hair while dry.



How often to oil your scalp


Ideally, oil your scalp once a week, on a hair washing day.
